Healthcare Security Risk Assessment 101

Everything you need to know to start conducting security risk assessments in your organization.

Overview

This course is designed to teach healthcare security professionals the basics of conducting a security risk assessment in a hospital or community care site setting. It will provide you with a solid foundation to start conducting your own internal security risk assessments immediately upon completion.

Security risks are constantly evolving and risk assessments are an excellent way to identify new or existing issues and develop strategies to mitigate them. Also, regular risk assessments are required by many accrediting organizations, state laws, and regulatory bodies. So it's important that your organization is equipped with the right approach to conduct these assessments.

The course leverages the experience and expertise of David Corbin, a healthcare security professional with 12+ years of healthcare consulting experience and 25+ years of experience as a healthcare security leader. That means you'll get a solid foundation in risk assessment and mitigation along with a realistic approach to the process that you can implement in your organization.
